It's about time

I better take the time now to write something creative. I have a spare moment finally so here's what we did over the weekend. Saturday morning came early, cold and windy. Karla entered the annual "Race Against Breast Cancer" 5K so rain or shine they hold it. Jakson and I tagged along for emotional support. Although Jakson spent more time wrapped up in the blankets on the grass all cuddly and warm. Karla finished - but not in as good of time as she hoped. She ended up with 31:19. Not bad in my book considering she didn't really train too much.
We spent the rest of the day shopping since it rained all day. Sunday was much better day for Mother's Day. We had sun and nice temperatures. We took Karla to a nice local restaurant - Spezia's - for brunch. Then after a quick nap for Jakson (and Dad) we headed out for some more shopping. Jakson decided to check out some new yard toys for me.
That's my boy - I think with enough hints I might get Karla to crack (don't hold your breath though!) We bought some tomato plants for the garden, which Jakson is totally psyched about, and took a nice walk too. Hope your Mom's Day was as good as ours.
