Knees beware

That's right - my knees will again be really angry with me. April 19th marks the Twin Cities Get Your Rear in Gear 5K Run/Walk. Anne Notch was to be the honoree for the kids Fun Run part of the event, but she passed away in January from colon cancer. Anne is Karla's sister (Kirsten) husband's sister (got that?). The Notch's have been family friends of Karla and I for some time now. The race provides me something to work for in regards to working out/training, and it honors a really strong person. I don't normally ask for donations for these races (ok - so I have only run one race so far) but if you feel so inclined to donate to the cause, the race gave me a web link for donations to be taken online. Disney 2009

We have returned - to cruddy weather none the less! We had a really great time and got see to everything we wanted to see (this time around anyway). The weather finally turned around from a cool 60 degrees (terrible, I know) to a nice mid-to-high 80's (awesome!). Rather than bore everyone with minute details of everyday activities - I'll highlight 10 things seen, felt, ridden, heard and eaten (and in no particular order):

1) Its a Small World - ridden 2 times by Jakson's request.

2) Excellent food at Epcot - Teppen Edo, Tutto Italia and various fish-n-chips, Brats & sauerkraut, and nachos.

3) Soarin' and the Test Drive rides - AWESOME!

4) Monorail - can get enough of that monorail. I think this was Jakson's favorite ride out of everything.

5) Tres Caballeros - another frequent ride by request by Jakson (3 times to be exact)!

6) Jakson rode his first roller coaster - The Barn Stormer at the MK. He wasn't too sure he liked it but he came out of it OK.

7) Jakson got his favorite character's autographs.

8) Dude!, Aloha, and Mahalo are now new words in Jakson's vocabulary.

9) We saw the American Idol Experience - all I can say is some people can sing, and then there are those people who think they can sing.

10) "Fish are friends not food."
